Newt really doesn't like the way this giant grab is eyeballing him and it's pretty apparent that he's more than a little intimidated. He can't stop thinking about the destruction that Onibaba had thrown against Japan, and though the robot was smaller than the kaiju, the fear was still evident. But he was also fascinated. These beings were so complex in their anatomy and machinery, he really wants to take one apart and work out how they ticked. Probably not the best thing to be thinking about right now though.

He wets his lips, still holding his hands up as if it helps, watching the beast stare down at him uneasily. The hairs on the back of his neck have prickled up, and his stomach is somewhere between his legs. His voice is quavering into a higher octave when he speaks again.

"I 'might as well be'? What's that's supposed to mean?"
