While not at all surprised to hear that Optimus was the king, Pipes was actually pretty unsure of how to handle it. It was probably not a big deal to literally anyone else but Pipes is Pipes. His own crown was slightly too big, as opposed to being too small.

For the first time in the evening, trying not to show any obvious hesitation, he wanders over to Optimus a bit awkwardly, gesturing to his ear. Or just... up, generally.
