[There's not much more disorienting than following your sensei back to the ship and suddenly, those aren't trees you're passing by, but tall structures - buildings, to be sure. They look almost Cybertronian in nature, but he can't remember Cybertron looking this worse for the wear the last time he saw it. No way it was. They'd been in the process of rebuilding it, years into the process of rebuilding it. Highways had been clean, buildings stood tall and pristine, and that group of craters and mess was not in the middle of the road, no they were not.]

[He's not going crazy. He's sure of it. But those were not there a moment ago. For that matter, things that had been there are now gone. The trees, the bushes, the dirt under his feet, Master Drift, Slipstream...]

[Wait, that's accurate, right? His teacher and partner? Jetstorm looks all around him in a growing panic.]

Master Drift? Slipstream?!

[Yeah, nope, they're definitely not around. And if this is some kind of training, it's the most realistic simulation he's seen to date. When did their exercises get so sophisticated?]

It would not hurt anything, I suppose, but it still feels awkward. What if I only take one room to begin, to see how it suits me?

Honestly, most of the time I just recharge on the closest available flat surface, if I'm honest.

C'mon, if you're done I can show you the medibay. That's basically the only main building remaining.

Recharge will not be difficult, if I know there is someone else near. [Preferrably someone he trusts. He'll cup that cube between both hands and look around for... wherever it is to clean them.]

What should I do with this?

[he reaches out and takes the empty cube, placing it somewhere behind the bar.]

I'm sure the Bar Ghost will clean and refill it.

[He'll head to the door to wait for Pipes, but then mention of a Bar Ghost, and he turns back.]

Bar Ghost? What is a Bar Ghost?

The Bar Ghost is the guy who cleans and refills all the cubes! We never see him, we just offer our thanks that he doesn't get tired of us never cleaning up after ourselves.

[he raises his own empty cube.]

Oh. [He looks back, peers around again, and sees exactly what he expects to see: no one.]

[He turns and bows to the bar at large and hopes whoever the Ghost is, he'll see it.]

[god that's so fucking cute pipes is gonna start crying-- no, he's not but he has to resist screaming into his hands for a moment.]

[He didn't see that, but he'll look up to Pipes again and look around, more feeling, seeing if he notes that chill as well.]

The temperature around me may have dropped slightly, but it was no significant loss. The Bar Ghost can do this?

[he claps his hands together.]

Alright! Where else did you want to see? I mean, we haven't even seen 1/16 of the city but, y'know. Just the populated part.

Won't be much of a view, though. Even the tallest buildings! It's almost disappointing.

Is it very high up, where we will be going? [Because anything high up just sounds like an accident waiting to happen, but not everything has been, so... He'll just have to see.] I would not mind the view, so long as it a stable environment.

Oh, it won't be high up. I'm just saying, most of the buildings here have the same abandoned warzone aesthetic.

It should be possible to find scraps of materials to improve our living spaces. [He peers around again.] Do you think?

Definitely! That's what I've been doing, actually. Found some cool things. Not sure how close to decoration they get, though.

That's where I've been staying. Drift and Rodimus' place is like... a few blocks away.

[Well, it's not his Master's ship, but it's got walls and a ceiling from what he can tell, and that's all he really needs. He can do the clean up himself.]

I have not met a Rodimus, but if your Drift knows him, then he must not be bad. This structure looks like it should do well.

Honestly, most of them should. There's only certain areas that are completely wrecked. You can almost tell where the big names were fighting, y'know?

[He nods and starts into the building, looking around at the place as he does so. It's about like he expected it might be.] I am glad to have missed that. Which way is it to the rooms, or are they any way? I cannot tell what this building once was.
