Is this what humans call magic?
Who: Jetstorm, OPEN
Where: In da city
When: NAOW-ish?
What: Meet n greet
Warnings: Cute. So much cute. And possibly lots of confusion. For Jetstorm.
[There's not much more disorienting than following your sensei back to the ship and suddenly, those aren't trees you're passing by, but tall structures - buildings, to be sure. They look almost Cybertronian in nature, but he can't remember Cybertron looking this worse for the wear the last time he saw it. No way it was. They'd been in the process of rebuilding it, years into the process of rebuilding it. Highways had been clean, buildings stood tall and pristine, and that group of craters and mess was not in the middle of the road, no they were not.]
[He's not going crazy. He's sure of it. But those were not there a moment ago. For that matter, things that had been there are now gone. The trees, the bushes, the dirt under his feet, Master Drift, Slipstream...]
[Wait, that's accurate, right? His teacher and partner? Jetstorm looks all around him in a growing panic.]
Master Drift? Slipstream?!
[Yeah, nope, they're definitely not around. And if this is some kind of training, it's the most realistic simulation he's seen to date. When did their exercises get so sophisticated?]

Ah hah! It's okay! I do have a friend I stay with occasionally. You don't have to go out your way for me, it's fine.
no subject
Oh! That is good. Then I will get to work cleaning this room out and if you do not return, I will assume you are with your friend.
[Though he'll hope to hear back from you within a few days, at least. plz don't skurr him. Also, since that's the case, he may build a small nest of padding for himself so the floor doesn't feel so harsh on him.]

[PIPES IS REALLY DELIGHTED at how nice jetstorm is what a babe. he holds out his communicator, with some numbers on the screen.]
That's my wavelength. If you need anything or want me back just gimme a ping, alright? I don't usually stay away for more than a few days, anyway.
no subject
[[And this is mine.]] Were you able to receive that? I am afraid I do not have a communicator of my own yet, but I will remember your code.

I am deeply grateful for your help, Pipes.

[He looks back at his new room and vents a little sigh. Starting with that, then.]

[gunfingers]
no subject
It must, unless we find someone else. Then it will be three.

I will be careful if I see any. I am not helpless, but I would rather not run into conflict while I am here. We have... so few resources as it is.
[And seriously, if he got into a fight, whoever ended up hurt, they'd both lose.]

I will remember, but it will not be easy to run if I am challenged.

Like... 60%.

Even where we have so little, we are still fighting each other, then? Sometimes?

no subject
... Do you think they ever will?

Cybertronian nature is to change and adapt, right? They're in the minority, anyway.
no subject
It is. They may need longer to adjust. Some of the bots I have seen who lived through the war who are at peace now are still having difficulties. I cannot imagine how that must be.

[He turns and looks back at his mess of a room and, well, that probably wouldn't hold up well if someone tried to come in after him either. Heck, the door barely works.] How long have you been here, if you do not mind me asking?
no subject
[HAHA ANYWAY]
A few months. I haven't really been keeping track of time.
no subject
[He tilts his head and peers back at that mess of a room of his and... welp. Might as well.]
Many thanks again, Pipes. I should tend to this room now, but I will go with you to look for supplies when you would like.
no subject
[everything about the war is awful, enough that pipes wouldn't dare be a hypocrite about both sides murdering the shit out of each other.]
Alright. Maybe in a few days? You might want to get settled first.
