When he feels some days that he must apologise for his very existence, hearing such reassurances makes Magnus ache deep in his spark. He still keeps his gaze averted, but he eases a little once more. Maybe Wing is only saying it to pacify him. Maybe Wing truly means it. Either way, the words are still nice to hear.
