Unbeknowst to him, Sentinel's comm device was buzzing away, rattling across the floor. It had rolled off the table about an hour ago but he hadn't noticed.

Instead, Sentinel had made a somewhat decent decision to rewire his wrist mounted guns into non-lethal tasers. It wasn't anything outside his area of expertise - though admittedly, he was much better with guns that would actually kill. Ah, c'est la vie. Apparently during the goddamn war, someone decided murders were "unethical."

Anyway.

Despite trying to do something positive, Sentinel had also made the bad decision of drinking while doing so. It's made his concentration suffer but frankly, after what happened in Kaon, he's amazed he's not comatose in a gutter somewhere. Fuckin' Megatron. Fuckin' Decepticons. Fuckin' political apartheid that eventually and, he supposes in hindsight, inevitably violently spilled over the bubbling pot.

After a moment of silence, Sentinel raises his arm and awkwardly pats Optimus on the shoulder.

"It's... over now." He's trying to console it's so fucking hard goddamnit he just wants to yell STOP BEING A BABY WHO CARES THAT COULD'VE BEEN SO MUCH WORSE

"Perhaps if we're forced to do anything again it'll be... nicer..." he's trying so hard.

"Now then. Let's move off of my problems and focus on yours."

It wasn't. Sentinel wanted to use it, but it wasn't active any more. He cry. Then use the wiring to rewire his own systems.

"Exchanged a few words with a large grey Decepticon before he decided he wanted to try and break my neck," Sentinel frowns, tapping his chin. "I did try to avoid escalating the situation as you mentioned, but I daresay he was intent on a fight before I'd even realised he was there."

Despite how most of those situations (like 50% of them) were unavoidable violence, he has to say he's impressed with Sentinel's...ethic. In a way, he doesn't believe it. It's too good to be true.
