First Aid's fingers are stiff, as are most newly repaired joints before they've had the chance to work out their full range of motion. A medic's hands are even more important-- more intricate wiring, more connections, tiny transformations.

The light in First Aid's optics flickers a few times before he ever has the strength to squeeze, but there it is. One small twitch of his fingers, barely tight enough to be a grip.
