Coming to You Live
Who: Aftermath and anyone!
Where: What’s left of the city’s news broadcasting station
When: A week or so after arrival.
What: Going to explore a potentially dangerous building!
Warnings: Journalism!
The first thing Aftermath did the moment he cleared for it was to go hunt down the city’s news broadcasting center.
There wasn’t much left of it. It looked like a thirty story building had collapsed into four.
It doesn’t really deter him. He’s most curious about whether or not some of the basement might have survived after all, and if the first few floors had survived, then the floors under it might have too. Buildings on Cybertron tended to go deep as well as tall after all.
It was dangerous and he could very well end up trapped in the building. Any attempts at rescue might be met with the same fate. If he weren’t trapped on a strange, empty Cybertron without the possibility of calling any contacts, Aftermath would have hired a proper team for the expedition with a rescue team on standby.
As is, he only had himself and a lot people he didn’t particularly want to put into harm’s way. Besides, if he didn’t find any information about this place, Tarn would have his spark case on a platter anyways. While a slow death by the hand of the DJD’s leader didn’t exactly bother him as much as he thought it would, it sure did put a deadline on things.
As far as Aftermath saw it, there wasn’t much to lose.
So, here he was, having told no one where he’d gone off to and preparing to go to his potential death. He clamps a magnetic lamp to the side of his helm, slings some gathered cabling over his shoulder and starts doing a final check of the equipment he carried.

Brass's question earns her a baffled look. Then the quiet dawning of realization.
"Well, I would like a home to return to," the old truck murmurs vaguely, wistfully. Shaking his head, he straightens and turns back to the small pile of equipment and begins attaching them to his frame.
"If all goes well, I will return within a span of four to eight hours."

She was curious about what he meant, about not having a home, but it sounded like that was going to be a conversation for another day.
"If you still want to go in alone, I'm going to wait here. It's only a few hours, and I want to make sure you come back ok." She took a few steps back so she was standing just outside the entrance, hands clasped in front of her.
"What are you hoping to find?"

"The signal will probably drop the moment I'm in too deep. You don't need to stay around after that." That was comforting, right?
"I'm hoping to find a server room and some way to access the information within it. And then, hopefully, something about what had happened here."
