[OPEN] Arrival
Who: Optimus Prime & You
Where: The Clinic, The Crater
When: After Optimus (IDW)'s return to the city
What: Optimus Prime arrives on the planet
Warnings: ?
THE CLINIC
Wandering through the destroyed city, Optimus took a moment to consider how getting suddenly transported to another planet was pretty high on the list of strange things that had happened in his life, a list that had grown much quicker in the past few months than he would have thought possible. This was certainly not a specific scenario they'd trained for at the Autobot Academy, that's for sure.
With so many buildings in serious disrepair, finding one that not only seemed intact but to have working electricity was a surprise to say the least. With some apprehension he made his way over to the building, cautiously sticking his head in the doorway and hoping whoever, or whatever, might be inside was friendly.
"Hello? Anyone here?"
THE CRATER
Optimus had left the clinic some time ago to try and get a better feel for the city. It was pretty unnerving how much the ruins looked like Cybertron, and the silence was starting to get to him by the time he made it to a huge crater in the middle of everything. An unrefined energon deposit? Just sitting here unguarded in the middle of the city? That was certainly strange. Even if there weren't many bots here, leaving a resource like that unprotected went against everything he'd learned at the academy.
He quickly made his way down into the crater, sliding down some of the steeper slopes to get to the energon vein, running a hand over the rough crystal with a frown.

/EXCITED ROBOT NOISES
It's weird, but enjoyable.
Even weirder, though, is hanging around the back of the clinic and hearing a voice she knows, the voice of someone from Detroit, and she metaphorically flies to the front, skidding to a stop and looking over the robot before her. It's someone who looks normal! An Autobot, sure, an enemy, sure, but familiar.
"You!" she cries, and lets a smile curve her mouth, red eyes bright. "I know you! Please tell me you didn't bring Starscream with you."

He also was not expecting that question.
"I don't know why you're asking me. He's your partner isn't he?"
no subject
(She is, too, but she's at least a few days less new, and a few days mean a lot more when you're only a year old.)
"He's no partner of mine," she tells him, amused, and leans back against a wall, hands raised and guns pointed at the ceiling. "Put your, ah, weapon away, Optimus, this is a clinic. Haven't you any manners?"
Slipstream said weapon like the thought of it being dangerous to her is hilarious (which it is).
no subject
"What, a decepticon clinic?" he asked, suspiciously. It sounded a bit oxymoronic.
no subject
Well, aside from Megatron. She thinks maybe he wouldn't believe her if she mentioned that, though.
She's kind of grinning, though, and settles herself on the floor in a tailor's seat, so she's approximately eye-to-eye with him, hands on her knees and a bright expression on her face. Sure, her lips twist a little lopsided and smirkily, her eyes narrow a little sly, but she does actually and genuinely seem pleased to see him.
"By the way, sorry about the thing," she says, offhandedly. What thing? Any thing that he thinks she needs to apologize for! She's not going to incriminate herself by apologizing in detail.

im sorry for this in advance
Unfortunately for Optimus, he looks into the clinic right as Sentinel is walking out after been checked over and told to bugger off by whatever medic saw to him. Like a terrible, terrible classic comedy, the massive Prime just about walks directly into him. He's used to looking down - both figuratively and literally - to see people, but not that far down!
Re: im sorry for this in advance
"Excuse me." He apologized, albeit a little rudely. Since it was pretty clearly the other bot's fault for not paying attention.

"You're new."

He did come here looking for some answers after all, though a slightly more courteous conversation would have been nice.

but not this (also crater for this one)
He was looking around for more of the odd fruits to take back for the humans and saw a large red bot he assumed was the Matrix bearing Optimus. Like when he first arrived, he immediately runs over.
"Opti--" Wait. That shape is wrong. "Wait, what?"
Re: but not this (also crater for this one)
"Hello. I don't think we've met."

He gestures to one of the pipes on his arms. Guess why he's called that!
"Have you been here long?"
no subject
"and no, actually, I, only just arrived here. Seems like you've been here a while though?"

CRATER.
It's not the crater and the energon that draws his attention but the bot approaching it. That's a familiar color scheme if he's ever seen, although the bot isn't one he completely recognizes. Another one from a different universe. Well, he still should introduce himself, see how different similar this particular Optimus is.
Landing - and setting up a rather dramatic cloud of dust that, while great for atmosphere, just caused his paint job to become dimmer - he straights up with a grin and a welcome gesture towards the blue and red bot.
"Optimus, I presume? Or do you go by Orion."
Re: CRATER.
"Optimus Prime, actually." He couldn't figure out where he got the name Orion, but then he had only just been told about the alternate universe issue. It didn't occur to him there might be a connection.

But he steps forward, brushing the dust off his plating and ignoring the defensive stance to offer his hand.
"Senator Shockwave, but Shockwave will do, seeing as the Imperium, if it existed, is long since rust and ruin."
no subject
"Let me guess, on your world you're an autobot, and not a Decepticon spy trying to destroy Cybertron from the inside."

CRATER
She makes her way down the slopes, switching between modes as she deems appropriate, until she's within speaking distance.
"Hello," she says. "Are you finding this crater satisfactory?"
no subject
"Well there's not really anything I can complain about, for a hole in the ground." Actually this was a pretty excellent crater as far as craters went, but oddness of the question was a little distracting.
no subject
"It is a nice crater," she says casually, as if this topic of conversation were not odd at all. "Are you searching for something here?"
no subject
"Have you been here long?"

CRATER (five ever late forgive me)
As he kneels by the Energon pool, he can't help but notice something--no, someONE doing something similar. And...with a similar paint scheme too.
His brow raises as he tracks his gaze up to the bot's face, slightly intrigued by this stranger. Something was...awfully familiar.
"I see the Energon deposit has captured your interest as well, friend."
no subject
"Yeah, I'm not exactly used to seeing this much raw energon in one place. There haven't been deposits like this on Cybertron since before the Great War." He replied, sounding just a little awestruck. It really was quite a sight, probably one of the few good things about this planet.
As he answered he was still staring at the other bot, looking increasingly uncertain. The paint job was only one of the uncanny similarities, and Pipes had mentioned the Optimus he knew never lowered his face plate. He had a sneaking suspicion about what was going on here, and the thought made him a little uneasy.
"On my Cybertron, anyway," he was compelled to add, "I suppose you must be from a different one."
no subject
"I feel the same. The only time I've seen it like this was under the surface. At least...as you said, before the war."
Optimus wasn't completely in the dark, he'd met Orion Pax before and...knew that there were only a certain few bots that shared their paint job. Still, it's just as apprehensive.
"I believe I am. Although I suppose narrowing it down wouldn't help if we're unsure of which." He holds out his hand, nonetheless, the sincerity glowing in his eyes. "But I am Optimus Prime, nonetheless."
no subject
He hesitates for a second before taking the offered hand in the best handshake he could muster. Might as well try to make a good impression, even if it was...himself? Which he supposed had to be at least somewhat reassuring; this whole situation was so bizarre though he was still frowning slightly.
"You wouldn't happen to be from the same universe as that gold armored bot calling himself Sentinel, would you?" he asked, gesturing over his shoulder in the vague direction of the clinic he'd just left.
"He said you were the one to talk to about why we were brought to this planet."
