Nautica knocked and entered Brainstorm's workshop in a single uninterrupted motion. He'd grumble about her inviting herself in, but he'd also grumble if she made him get up to answer the door. Since he was going to make it a no-win proposition, he'd have to deal with being annoyed in a manner of her choosing.
"Stormy? You around?" she asked, glancing casually about the room before picking up a half-completed something from the nearest lab bench and squinting into its innards to see what kind of worrisome cleverness Brainstorm was getting up to since the last time she'd checked.

Brainstorm hastily makes his way across the room and leans in to look her over to make sure that she wasn't behaving oddly, then wraps a hand around her wrist and pulls her away from it.
"I haven't narrowed the blast radius yet and it has a nasty habit of possibly making black holes. It's unpredictable at the moment."
He checks her over again and vents.
"I was sort of on my way out, you know."

"And you just leave it lying around?" she grumbled. It was a halfhearted protest and she didn't try to pull away, because even Nautica realized on some level that she had entered without permission and started fiddling with his stuff. It wasn't like she minded Brainstorm basically holding her hand, anyway.
"Well, no, I didn't know you were leaving until you told me." Obviously, Brainstorm, gosh. "Where to? Someplace interesting?"
Someplace she could invite herself along to, perchance?
