the punch has been spiked, the music is whatever they could scrape together, and there’s bleachers to make out behind. takes place OUTSIDE in the forum so there's plenty of space and people can easily crash it.

"No less than you," Cyclonus says, one corner of his mouth quirking with what might almost be a smile.

Ironhide's demeanor didn't exactly scream 'having a great time'. More 'I suspect something might go wrong at any moment'.

"S'it really showin' that much?"

He grimaces a bit, but it's short lived. The purple bot has a point. He's not here to socialize, is he?

"Guess I gotta work on my cover ups."

"Why hide it?" Cyclonus says. Be true to your feelings, Ironhide. Unless they involve caring for someone, in which case you should bottle them up and lash out and anyone who brings attention to them.

"You seem on guard."

Yeah, that's the problem there. Ironhide cares a little too much about people.

"Eh, figure most bots are here to have a good time, not watch a big old lunk watch Prime's back." He smirks a little sadly, nodding. "I am. Hard habit to break."

Cyclonus nods in understanding, though he's personally not going to try looking anything but dour.

"In my experience, when any of the crew of the Lost Light are involved, it's a good idea to remain on guard."

[arnhaid]

"What's a 'Lost Light'?"

Whoops. Out of everything he's heard here, the explanation of Rodimus' little misadventure fun time never happened. It sounds like a prison ship or something, from that warning.

[tsunclonus]

"Ah, my apologies," Cyclonus says. He shouldn't assume that everyone knows about current Cybertronian news from his universe. Time displacement and multiple universes and all that.

"The Lost Light is the ship Rodimus took to look for the Knights of Cybertron."

[arnhaid]

"Not a big deal."

He shrugs. He's used to not being aware of things, by this point. He just tends to take it better than other bots.

"The... whats of Cybertron?"

Okay. He's used to most things.

[tsunclonus]

"The Knights of Cybertron," Cyclonus repeats. "The first children of Primus and the Guiding Hand."

You want to get educated in myth and religion, Ironhide?

[arnhaid]

"... soooo... myths. Hot Rod got himself a ship and went off chasin' a bunch of guys who don't exist?"

Because that sounds like literally the worst idea ever.

[tsunclonus]

"Not all that is myth does not exist," Cyclonus says. "After all, the Metrotitans are linked to the Knights, and they are far from fiction."

The Dead Universe was only a legend, too, and he got stuck in it for millions of years.

"Okay, so he's lookin' for a bunch of guys who might not be a myth."

Ironhide doesn't exactly roll his optics, but it's close. He almost does.

[tsunclonus]

"Precisely," Cyclonus says, then adds by way of explanation. "Rodimus is the original captain."

No seriously, as far as he's concerned 'it was Rodimus's idea' is a perfectly valid explanation for all manner of seemingly questionable (and actually questionable) choices.

"Who in their right mind let him do that?"

See, to him, there really isn't a "Rodimus". Not yet. There's still Hot Rod. And Hot Rod never had a great sense of restraint. Or the most rational ideas.

[tsunclonus]

"It's Rodimus," Cyclonus repeats with a slight shrug. Seriously, it explains everything once you've been under his command for awhile.

Once Rodimus gets an idea into his head, he's not entirely sure there's any way to stop him from trying to do it, short of locking him up
