What: After finding a few terminals still standing, the big guy decides it'd be a great idea to go find more.  Maybe even fix them up a bit.  So he sneaks away from everyone on a mission.
Warnings: None yet

He didn't say anything before he ducked out.  He just did it.  When he was sure Pax-Prime-whoever he was now wasn't paying a lot of attention, he'd excused himself out into the city.  Honestly, he needed some space.  Some time to wrap his head around everything going on. 

It wasn't every day you got "hi you're missing and there was a war and by the way I'm Prime now" dropped into your lap. 

Besides, he'd found some old terminals on previous wanderings.  With any luck, he could probably see if they could get rewired to broadcast -- send out a distress signal.  Just in case someone out there was listening and wanted to pick up a bunch of confused Cybertronians.  It couldn't hurt to try.  And at the very least, maybe he'd find some supplies, if nothing else.

Prime...

What was he even supposed to think about that?

He can be found wandering empty buildings, now.  Wedging his way into vacant rooms, or pounding away at useless keyboards in hope of a reaction.  He's hard to miss, if anyone should run across him -- being huge has that little drawback.

"Relax, I'm kidding. Seriously though, what I can see of the internal damage is mostly age and weather related and pretty extensive. We're gonna have to replace most of this to make it both usable and safe."

"That's more like what I wanted to hear."

Not because it's good news -- because it isn't. It just gives him something a starting point. Something to work off of.

"Guess that means we get to go dumpster diving."

"That just so happens to be my favourite past time!"

[officerjuicebox]

"Dumpster diving?"

Pipes what.

[planate]

"That's also a joke I have never done that before in my life. You'll have to show me how to do it."

Like three or four times while he does something that isn't diving into a dumpster.

"You sounded awfully serious for a joke."

But he lowers Pipes back down to the ground, starting off in a seemingly random direction.

"It's a finely honed skill."

Aww he wanted to be carried more oh well he follows Roller

"You're, uh. Pretty big for a technician."

[officerjuicebox]

"I can see that."

He huffs -- it sounds a little more amused than anything.

"I'm not a technician. Not really. I know computers pretty well, but... I'm a cop."

"That makes sense with your size.







Have I mentioned you are really really huge?"

"... What, I am?"

He somehow manages to deadpan that sentence. "You're kidding. I had no idea."

"Right!"

God GOD

"So, uh. You know I was being serious about having no idea how to actually dumpster dive, right? What are we doing?"

"It's simple."

And he saunters over to the next terminal, this one on the ground. He gestures to the front panel before he starts taking it off completely.

"We grab parts from other ones and put them in the one we started on."

"What if all of those have the same issues?"

THEN WHAT, HUH

... Pipes what.

"That's. Literally never happened to me before. Ever."

[planate]

"Have you also woken up on a completely abandoned Cybertron before?"

WooOoOOoOOO he was going somewhere with that.

[officerjuicebox]

"No..."

He squints. "But that's... different. Like way different."

"If you say so, I mean, I'm not really expecting the rest of today to really be normal."

[officerjuicebox]

"Just... c'mon. This is a big city. Something's bound to still be functional."
