Who: Verity and Ultra Magnus
Where: The city. Near the clinic.
When: Vague hand gestures towards sometime after Feardome.
What: ATTENTION MAGNUS. PLEASE REPORT TO THE FRONT DESK TO PICK UP YOUR SHITTY CHILD.
Warnings: n/a.
[ The motorbike that was thrown together as a stopgap to her decided lack of one after losing her first one towing Prowl out of sinkhole. Coming back battered but not altogether bruised from the wild edges of Cybertron, Verity was eager for some semblance of routine. For once in her life, routine had its charm. Most of which all hinged on getting her replacement set of wheels up and running. Only for the tailpipes to sputter, and fume pitch black near the abandoned intersection catty cornered to Ratchet's clinic. ]
Piece of shit.
[ In the start of a tantrum, Verity yanked her helmet off and threw it one the ground before slamming the exposed engine with the side of her boot. Times like she could really use Jimmy. ]

Greetings, human! Are you in need of -
[ She slams on her breaks abruptly, both her thoughts and tires skidding to a halt. From a distance, and from behind, Ultra Magnus hadn't been able to identify the figure, but as it came into focus -- She begins to speak, haltingly. ]
Verity? Is... is that you?

[ Verity turns her head away from the blinding glow of the headlights flooding over her. She shuts her eyes and swears, loudly, blocking the worst of it by shielding her face with her forearm.
Then, she hear's the last thing she'd come to expect on this desolate rock - her own name from a familiar voice. ]
Ma..gnus? How long have you been here-
[ Something clicks. Like a learned reflex intermingled with nostalgia and a tinge of pain when Verity's face sets to a stony resolve and she stalks over to the side of Magnus's trailer. ]
Come out of there!
[She kicks, hard, despite the pain that shoots up the side of her ankle against the side of Magnus's door. As if kicking hard enough would force a transformation out of vehicle mode.]
Come out of there right now, you asshole!

Verity, what are you doing? What's wrong?

[ Her throat seized up. The anger sweltering on her tongue choking her, and then Verity is left wondering if it's her own perceived betrayal or Prowl, still residual knocking around inside still that she didn't know where she ended and he began.
And before she can lash out and kick her feet again, despite everything relating to the words Minimus Ambus that infuriated her so much. Verity realizes how long it's been since she's seen Magnus. Known she was still alive and how deep the lonely ache of missing someone who was for all intents and purposes could be buried. ]
Ratchet told me everything.
[ Verity says, voice small. Lowering her head knocking it softly against Magnus's shin because she was still so tall and Verity didn't know how to see her as anyone else. ]

What are you talking about? What did Ratchet --
[ Oh. ]
-- oh.
[ Magnus turns her head away, and vents a tired sigh. ]
He told you about... Minimus. Didn't he.
