another char arrival log. my god
Who: peridot and.... you??!?!?!!
Where: PLACES
When: grunts
What: earth isn't what peridot expected and she's pissed off
Warnings: MUCH EXASPERATION
a. crater/city/city outskirts
Her gem wasn't damaged by the crash. That was, much to Peridot's relief, instantly apparent.
She forms a pad out of her fingers not long after she stopped panicking (only took a good ten minutes), running some scans and tapping out some basic observations. Her pod was nowhere to be seen; troubling, but not much she could do about it.
"Just what I needed..." she mutters to herself, two fingers floating up to pinch the bridge of her nose.
"Earth is noticeably," Peridot looks around, kneels down and pokes at the ground before speaking directly into the pad. "Dilapidated. I've lost the Kindergarten location, however it remains my top priority."
Closing the pad and sighing heavily again, she clomps away from where she woke up, unknowingly following the behest of a call towards the city.
b. medibay
It's time to make proper contact with the locals.
Eugh.
Peridot chose what appeared to be a production/research facility for her loathsome task - at the very least, it appeared to be one of the more active buildings. She can talk to one, ask for parts in exchange for some kind of service. Homeworld was partial to those who can offer something in return, surely this place would work the same way?
That said... they are awfully big when you get close, battlesuits or not. Peridot can't help but find herself sticking close to the shadows, subconsciously hiding from beings over thirty times her size.
Let's hope there's no misunderstandings about why she's sliding around equipment and file locations. Especially seeing as it's the middle of the night.

"I will find these chips."
He runs off to find said chips. It takes some time since well, computers don't pop up as easily as scrap metal, but he finally finds a defunct communication terminal deep in one of the abandoned buildings. Ripping it out, he returns with the terminal slung over his shoulder.
"This should have the chips you need."
close enough to a smile icon
When he returns, she's honestly impressed. It seems something is finally going her way. Her face actually lights up with a grin.
"This is--!" she bounds over, grabbing the terminal and turning it over. "Yes! Perfect!"
no subject
"I was meant to be perfect," said as a matter of fact.
"Now you will begin fulfilling your end of the agreement."
no subject
She's already working on it!
"I'm going to go and find a working terminal to start. You can go and continue looking for those other parts I-- we need."
no subject
"I trust you will complete your task."
no subject
"I want off this junk pile more than you do."
no subject
"This world can be a valuable boon if we can find a way off."

Not leaving literally isn't an option. Though Peridot wouldn't deny enjoying the idea of Yellow Diamond and Homeworld coming to raze this place to the ground.

It's not so much optimism as being far too confident in his training.
no subject
She says, having never seen or used any of the technology on this planet before. Over confident, are we?
