For Ratchet [backdated to THE RECENT PAST]
Here, so much seemed to happen is such a short span of time, it was a complete contradiction to anything he'd experienced before - save perhaps the mad dash to escape persecution after the Senator's guard's head had collapsed under his fists. It was a surreal thing to think about, how only a few months ago he'd arrived on the verge of falling down a very violent and bloody path.
But in the end, he'd managed to come back from that. Somehow. And now, instead of waiting for whatever homicidal opponent Clench had lined up for him to fight, he was waiting for Ratchet in the medibay. To say he was grateful for the training would be a gross understatement.
His willingness to leave whatever he was doing back at the burgeoning Decepticon building to meet with someone he'd call his mentor should say enough of how much he valued the Autobot's company. Time was admittedly a little tight between the two responsibilities, but that didn't seem to bother him in the slightest.

For Nautica (Current Day)
In the proper container, of course. It'd be incredibly unfortunate if the dusty cloud hovering in the jar with the plant had been spurted in someone's face.
Entering the familiar workspace, the young medic sets it next to the microscope-like device they've managed to scavenge and put together at the rear end of the facility. He should probably label it to make sure the sample is properly handled.
Picking the cylinder up in one hand, he gets a thick pen in another, and begins to write in what he presumes to be a completely empty room.
