Who: sentinel prime with guest appearences from proteus and megatron
Where: the medibay
When: whenever this gigantic shitlord is conscious again. a week or so after his fight with megatron
What: million year old robots being infants tbh
Warnings: someone let proteus out his cave
a. megatron
He's been staring at the ceiling for a while now. There's a long, spidery crack that he's pretty sure gets wider every time he regains consciousness. It's certainly more interesting than the hideous miner in the berth over and whatever he thinks he's doing. Speaking of, there's a small creaking noise and Sentinel tenses slightly, before wincing in pain. Having the majority of your organs spread over a wall tends to do that. Not to mention he was painfully aware he's missing a rather important one. Maybe it rolled under something. He'll go look himself, if he has to.
Sentinel continues his little internal monologue to himself while Megatron moves around, staring at the crack. Maybe if he's lucky, a large piece of debris will come loose and kill them both.
b. proteus
The crack is a millimetre wider, maybe. A bit of dust fell onto his face off it a few days ago and slowly made its way into one of the cracks left from Megatron's punch.
This is his life as Prime, evidently. Barely able to move and being slightly annoyed at some dust particles on his helmet.
Sentinel considers trying to get up, before dully realising he still can't move his legs.
Fuck.

Fuck.

Being stranded and at the mercy of his enemies was bad enough, but learning his main line of defense was currently lying on a berth for the foreseeable future just complicated his prospects even further.
He sees the Prime attempting to move as he enters, and graciously rests a hand on Sentinel's utterly motionless leg.
"Stop, you're just going to injure yourself even further."

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) Sentinel is still unable to speak, so he opts to use internal comms. Ish. Thinking too hard still makes him feel sick.
Can't recover without pushing

After a week of going through the same routine, he expected to be used to the feeling of his insides melting. But alas, this last little session seemed to be a real kicker, and he could feel everything from his fingertips to his tread mechanisms burn. Admittedly, he did notice some improvement after each treatment, but that didn't make the process any more tolerable.
He'd gotten used to the sight of Prime's battered body since then, having to pass it with each follow up visit, but this was the first time he'd actually seen him conscious. Because his only other option was to sit on a berth and stare at his hands, he's going to walk up and and get a good look at what remained of his enemy.

For a brief moment, he genuinely misses his old group of henchmen.
Despite the overwhelming urge to offline his optics and pretend to have slipped under the waters again, Sentinel keeps them on; brightening them, even. Megatron might notice his face twitch ever so slightly in disgust when he gets closer.

If there was anything he could say he had in common with the 'Prime', it was their mutual contempt for each other.
"Not the outcome you wanted, is it?"
no subject
What can he do? Sentinel is all too painfully (literally) aware that he can't move or do anything.
Some plating around his vents flares minutely. That's all Megatron gets.

Megatron turns his attention to the pieced together mess left of the Autobot's abdomen, his hands resting at his side of the berth.
"Red Alert certainly did a good job of putting you back together. But even doctors can only work with the tools and pieces they're given, can't they?"
He looks at the empty area where the Prime's tcog should be.

He just about manages to get two of his fingers to twitch. It's obvious Megatron is taunting him but as much as he'd like to not pay anything the miner is saying any heed, Sentinel still doesn't want to come off as immaturely ignoring him.
This is certainly something he'll murder whoever puts in the history books.

He stands straight, his gaze finally resting on the Prime's optics.
"Even though you, of all people, don't deserve mercy of any kind. What you and your masters did to our planet is unforgivable."
"But if after four million years of war the victor can spare his enemy - then I will allow you the same chance."
no subject
He can't speak, but breaks optic contact. That's a big bunch of horseshit.
no subject
"One chance."
The grip grows stronger.
"But should any harm come to the Decepticons here, no Cybertronian doctor in this city will be able to reconstruct what I leave of you."
no subject
Unfortunately, Sentinel can't quite communicate the fact he's been re-evaluating his life choices while he's been conscious and considering how he's going to survive here. He also doesn't particularly want Megatron to know that his beat down had a profound effect.
He squints slightly. Yes okay let go of his jaw that hurts
no subject
He straightens his posture and finally seems to have gotten bored with talking to him, because the miner steps away to leave the room.
Sitting and waiting had gotten old the first day he'd been kept here.
no subject
He hates that, too.
