the talk about improper organ removal
Who: op and the baby bf
What: what the title says
When: post bing bang boops
Where: decepticon house for max awkward
Warnings: robot organ talk
There was a quiet lull in activity after the clouds of pollen had cleared up. Despite the awkward post-interface interactions between multiple bots, the worst the whole fiasco seemed to cause was a slight delay in touching up what remained of the new Decepticon base. Oh. And First Aid was comatose from how enthusiastically he was pounded in a week, but that's a topic for another day.
The base was fully wired, piped, and structured at this point, and really just needed to be properly tidied up before planning for a housewarming for both factions. That would need quite some preparations to avoid it breaking out into a brawl, and Megatron finds himself surveying the open-access ground floor to see how he could possibly piece this together.

But you know Optimus. He's a people pleasing kind of a guy.
When told it was Megatron who had removed it...all that was left to do was find him. And really, Occam's Razor on that one. The Decepticon house was the most likely location other than the medibay, so he'd stop by there first.
Hi. Just the leader of the Autobots walking into Club D-Con.

It's only when he notices a bright red and blue reflection on the floor that he stops his mental reviewing and turns to face him.
"Optimus? You really should let me know ahead of time when you're coming. Some new arrivals can be a bit... touchy."
If nearly having his head twisted off by Helex could count as 'touchy'. He could only imagine what the smelter would have done to an Autobot.

Probably that third one.
"Sorry, but it's important. I'm afraid I need to speak with you, Megatron. If you're willing to give me the time."
Despite his rash nature in walking in, his tone is even.
After all, Megatron deserved respect. Something he was robbed of back home, certainly.

A solemn look crosses his face. It wasn't often Optimus breached in so abruptly. In fact, he's been largely hands off with his handling of the Decepticons, which he can somewhat appreciate. It must be serious.
In the interest of keeping peace, a few minutes is the least he could offer.
"What is it?"

He pauses, though, suddenly searching for words. Despite him practicing what he was going to say when he came over, he realized just how Megatron was going to react. And it was oddly enough how Sentinel had told him, before he marched over.
"I'll get straight to the point. Did you remove Sentinel's T-Cog within the time you've been here?"
His arms fold, leaning on one hip. He's...giving THAT stare, Megatron. You know the one.
no subject
"'Remove' is a rather gentle choice of word. No, I didn't remove it. I ripped it out of him after he enthusiastically tried to kill me."
An old flame of anger for the golden mech flares in his spark, but he keeps himself composed in front of Optimus.
"Why? Have you suddenly gained a soft spot for him?"
no subject
"I'm trying to rehabilitate him."
You can laugh now.
However, he'll straighten up ever so slightly, leaning against a structure in the room as he gestures out with his hand. "I didn't know he outright attacked you. He...neglected to mention that little aspect."
...
"Rehabilitation could be going better."
It could be going worse, too, but always better.

"Good luck. You have quite the task ahead of you."
He'll give Sentinel props for managing to live without his alt mode for an entire solar cycle. Now he just has a few more million of them to go before he can begin to taste a fraction of the suffering he inflicted on Cybertron. : )
"How is he doing, by the way? I imagine without a Senator's boots to lick he's found it difficult to adjust."
no subject
"It's been an experience. Although he seems to have some motivation for proving something to me." Which was the weird part. For all Sentinel hating him, he did things on his own just to try and impress him.
"You wouldn't be disappointed, that's for sure. He looks anything but regal."
But back to the point.
"Do you still have his T-Cog? While I know you had good reason to remove it, he may need his vehicle mode."
no subject
It wouldn't take much for him to deduce who stole it (TARN), but frankly, he'd rather let the thief keep it. Megatron doesn't seem to concerned with the ordeal either way, because letting Sentinel get his wheels back wasn't something he intended to do anytime soon.
"I'm sure Sentinel can manage with his legs."
no subject
But you know--when you help one mass murderer you have to start helping them all. God. Dammit.
"I agree, but I think it should be held by someone who could rightfully give it back. Vengeance never looked good on you, Megatron.
Don't start the cycle."
no subject
Considering how the fight between the two of them went in the regular timeline, he'd say Sentinel's gotten quite the mild end of the karma stick, really. Being a little dirty and injured didn't fix what he caused. Sentinel should be thankful he still had use of his legs.

The only awkward part of that statement was that it was Megatron himself that he spared.
"I've spared the life of someone who didn't deserve it either. But you are--" How does he put this... "You're too poetic to be resorting to such barbaric measures of punishment."
