another char arrival log. my god
Who: peridot and.... you??!?!?!!
Where: PLACES
When: grunts
What: earth isn't what peridot expected and she's pissed off
Warnings: MUCH EXASPERATION
a. crater/city/city outskirts
Her gem wasn't damaged by the crash. That was, much to Peridot's relief, instantly apparent.
She forms a pad out of her fingers not long after she stopped panicking (only took a good ten minutes), running some scans and tapping out some basic observations. Her pod was nowhere to be seen; troubling, but not much she could do about it.
"Just what I needed..." she mutters to herself, two fingers floating up to pinch the bridge of her nose.
"Earth is noticeably," Peridot looks around, kneels down and pokes at the ground before speaking directly into the pad. "Dilapidated. I've lost the Kindergarten location, however it remains my top priority."
Closing the pad and sighing heavily again, she clomps away from where she woke up, unknowingly following the behest of a call towards the city.
b. medibay
It's time to make proper contact with the locals.
Eugh.
Peridot chose what appeared to be a production/research facility for her loathsome task - at the very least, it appeared to be one of the more active buildings. She can talk to one, ask for parts in exchange for some kind of service. Homeworld was partial to those who can offer something in return, surely this place would work the same way?
That said... they are awfully big when you get close, battlesuits or not. Peridot can't help but find herself sticking close to the shadows, subconsciously hiding from beings over thirty times her size.
Let's hope there's no misunderstandings about why she's sliding around equipment and file locations. Especially seeing as it's the middle of the night.

Re: A.
"And why should I believe--" ah, now she turns around and sees a robot fifteen times her size. "AUGH"
Smooth.
no subject
"I'm flattered."
But he looks up at the sky, making sure he's got his coordinates right before looking back down, head tilting ever so slightly. "Let's just say, I'm pretty experienced in where -this- is. And I can tell ya, it's a little ways off from the Earth system."
...
"By light-years."
no subject
"Are there... Stevens here?"
Yeah, that'll do it.
no subject
"There might be. Who's askin?"
no subject
"You don't seem the type to want to get caught up in interspecies affairs," Oh, Peridot, if only you knew. "I'd prefer a simple yes or no answer."
no subject
"Pretty presumptuous for just meetin' me. But I like to avoid humans if I can.
...Take it you're not one of those, though. Just guessin'."
no subject
"Absolutely not." Peridot barely even knows what a human is. "What are you, some sort of mechanical guardian? Or annoyance bot."
no subject
Don't mind if he emphasizes that a bit for you.
"Welcome to Cybertron, though. Not the one I'm familiar with, but close enough."
no subject
"It really says something when inanimate objects find you tiresome."
Idioms are lost on her. As is the situation, as everything just raises more questions! Mostly: where's her pod?!
"Of course." Yeah, she's not showing or admitting any of that confusion. Peridot just thinks this is part of Earth and her equipment was damaged in the crash. "You'll have to excuse me, I have a message to send."
She can jury-rig a communicator, probably. Or maybe find one and hi-jack the frequency!
no subject
Ah, so she was like Ultra Magnus without the warmth or people skills. Gotcha.
"To who? And with what? Doubt you'll get any signal out here, mean green machine."
no subject
Peridot just scowls at the 'mean green machine' comment.
"It's Peridot."
no subject
His brows raise up, thinking on that for a moment. "'s a weird name, but who'm I to judge?"
He laughs, leaning an elbow against that rocky outcropping. "And honestly, I consider it my business since this is technically my planet."
no subject
Who is this... JACK OF WHEELS and his JUDGING.
"Then you'll be delighted to know that that my main goals involve," a finger floats up for each of her points. "Finding my ship, or failing that, building one, getting into it, starting it up and then flying away from this planet and its primitive clod inhabitants!"
no subject
JACK OF WHEELS IS BETTER THAN "ROCK"
Don't mind if he....finds those fingers interesting, reaching out to take one like a toothpick.
Completely ignoring what she's saying.

"You mean this?"
Of course she means that, dummy.
no subject
"What else could I possibly mean, you overgrown tin can?!"
no subject
In fact, it gets his attention enough to let go of the finger, letting it slowly hover back to her.
"Ouch, that hurts me right here, Green." A hand gestures over his spark. "Your words are like poison."
no subject
"What is that, your weak spot?" HAHA another victory for Peridot! "I'm writing a critique of your terrible systems for your programmers to read. They'll thank me later."
no subject
"What can I say? You got me." Oh man she's perfect. "Please make it out to Ultra Magnus. I'm sure he'd be delighted to read about that."
