Pipes was probably not as bothered about the pollen as he should be. He's not in denial about it like he is with several other things - that would involve invalidating the other people involved - but at the same time he's not entirely sure how to deal with it all. Miria had run away when he'd tried to apologise for acting so strangely but... not much he can do about that.

He stands at the bottom of Mayday's elevator, looking up and wondering if he's even doing the right thing. Pipes didn't realise feelings were so hard. He really hopes none of this happens again.

Taking the can tied to string hanging down, Pipes stares at it for a moment then gives it a tug. He's not entirely sure how this works.

Tugging on it works. There's more cans attached to the other end in the ship, and they jangle cheerfully as Pipes pulls it. There are probably better ways to do this, but Mayday is a spaceship engineer, not an expert on primitive communication devices.

After he checks who's at his 'door', Mayday rides valiantly down in his creaking bin to meet him. Leaning out carefully, we waves down. "Pipes!"

Several deer jump out when the elevator touches down. They'll be back.
