Pipes was probably not as bothered about the pollen as he should be. He's not in denial about it like he is with several other things - that would involve invalidating the other people involved - but at the same time he's not entirely sure how to deal with it all. Miria had run away when he'd tried to apologise for acting so strangely but... not much he can do about that.

He stands at the bottom of Mayday's elevator, looking up and wondering if he's even doing the right thing. Pipes didn't realise feelings were so hard. He really hopes none of this happens again.

Taking the can tied to string hanging down, Pipes stares at it for a moment then gives it a tug. He's not entirely sure how this works.

It's easy for Pipes to make Mayday happy. Just being with Pipes makes him pretty happy!

Yelping and avoiding the cloud of dust, Mayday chases after his boyfriend, kicking up his own dust. For someone who's preferred environment is a hermetically sealed clean room, his alt-mode is actually quite all-terrain capable.

Pipes zooms along ahead, keeping an eye on Mayday's position on his radar. It wouldn't be proper to let him fall too far behind. Not with all this dust and muck around.

After a few minutes of driving in relative silence, he pings Mayday's internal comm; "So, uh. Are you okay? After that. Thing. I mean."

[scaredybot]

Mayday swerves a little at the question, but his tread is very grippy and he doesn't crash into anything. Great success!

"Oh, um. You mean the, uh. That. Nh. Yeah." That thing with the pollen and the shower with Pipes and when he went out to get deer snacks and things got really weird. His voice over the common is squeaky when he replies, "I'm fine!"

After a little pause he adds, "I guess I'm a little, mmmn... Embarrassed?"

Mayday is so good and perfect, it's unbelievable.

"...Yeah, same. There are a few people I'm not sure how long I should avoid." Mayday obviously wasn't one of them. "It was so weird. Uh. I'm... glad you're okay though."

[scaredybot]

"It was so weird!" Mayday agrees. "I'm usually a lot more..." He doesn't have hands to wave vaguely in vehicle mode, but you can be sure he's flailing them in his head. "...um, hesitant about touching people. Who I don't know well."

He's much more comfortable touching people he likes. Like Pipes.

"Yeah, I feel that. You know, especially as a minibot. It's like, woah, where did you come from? Then you get elbowed in the face and it's not fun."

Not entirely what Mayday meant, but thank you, Pipes, for that brief yet bleak look into your life.

"I guess that won't be a problem here. Cause there's like five people."

[scaredybot]

Mayday can't help but laugh at that, even though he feels bad for the imagined Pipes and the elbow in his face. Pipes is a funny guy. He makes Mayday laugh. He makes him happy.

Speeding up, he pulls up alongside Pipes, just two little vehicles going for a drive.

"Mmhm. Not to mention with the humans around people better be keeping their eyes a little lower."

Otherwise there'd be a real nasty mess to clean up.

"Oh jeez, I forgot about them. I haven't seen any of them for ages."

... Woops.

"I hope they're okay. Wasn't there one in the medibay?"

[scaredybot]

"Huh, me neither." Then again, Mayday doesn't exactly get out a whole lot.

"Um, maybe? I try to kind of... Avoid the medbay. When I can."

Not mentioning that time Pipes made him faint.

"Oh, that's right..."

How could he have forgotten? So careless!

"We're almost there, by the way. You see that big outcrop? Up there."

[scaredybot]

It's okay Pipes, he forgives you.

"Oh!" Mayday says, looking up at the aforementioned geological feature. "Do we have to climb?"

He prefers not to climb things, since it gets his hands all over their grubby surfaces, but he will definitely climb this out crop for Pipes if asked to.

"I thought about that! There's a little path leading up. No climbing, but we'll have to walk."

He transforms, skidding to a halt, then holds his hand out. Damn, he's romantic.

[scaredybot]

Pipes is literally the most romantic anyone has ever been to him. Though he hasn't exactly had a lot of romances for comparison.

Flipping to his feet Mayday's face glows a little as he takes Pipes's hand. "Walking is fine."

But please catch him if he trips on a rock with his weak ass ankles.

"Good! 'Cause I'm not sure I can carry you and climb at the same time."

Pipes pulls him up, it's gonna be a bit of a walk. Mayday can probably clearly see why Pipes opted not to drive - loose rocks! Oh no!

[scaredybot]

"I don't know," Mayday says, shyly squeezing Pipes's fingers. "You're pretty strong..."

Carried him all the way to the medibay and doesn't afraid of anything. What a cool guy.

The loose rocks make him a little nervous BUT HE'S DETERMINED TO DO THIS. Without making a fool of himself. He'll just... watch his steps. Very carefully. Very very carefully.

"Oh, pshaw."

One day, Mayday, one day you will learn Pipes is not that. Possibly today.

"Take your time."

[scaredybot]

It's okay Pipes. You're dating one of the few people on the planet weenier than you, he won't hold that against you.

He will hold onto you tightly, though, as a loose rock slips under his foot and he finds himself toppling over like a bundle of sticks tied with silly string.

"Ah, nuts-!"

Most graceful.

"Oof--!"

And because they were holding hands like the disgusting weenies they are, Pipes goes down with him.

You'd think it might end up like an anime, one of them on of of the other, staring soulfully into their optics. Sun glinting off Mayday's visor as Pipes leans in and--

Nope. He swears loudly as his head cracks off a rock.

[scaredybot]

Mayday squawks in alarm, flails, manages to smack Pipes in the face, and comes to a rest sprawled awkwardly over him.

"Oh no! Pipes! I'm sorry are you okay? Are you hurt are you damaged did you knock your brain out of alignment is it slowly going to leak to death oh sweet Allspark please don't die-!"

Somebody is a little prone to dramatics.

He's fine. He's fallen over before and there's barely a scratch.

"Mayday."

Pipes watches him flail for a few more seconds.

"Mayday."

[scaredybot]

Mayday's mouth shuts with an audible snap, and he stares at Pipes, he expression of panic dissolving into one of sheepishness.

"Um. I guess I, uh. Got a little. Carried away?"

[planate]

"Yeah buddy, just a bit."

His visor brightens, though, and one could imagine if he had a mouth he'd be smiling.

"Come on, we're almost at the top. Don't wanna miss the sunset."

[scaredybot]

"S-sorry. That, nh, I, uh. Happens. Sometimes."

At least Pipes doesn't seem to be too bothered. He is such a swell guy.

"Right! Missing that would be, um. That thing. A shame. Yes."

How about he just clings to Pipes's arm the rest of the way up?

He allows it, patting Mayday's arm as it wraps around his.

"I think we still have a good half hour." he may have allowed for something like this. They're both kinda disasters.

They kind of are. Maybe Mayday should make then bubble wrap suits.

"I've never watched a sunset with someone before."

It's such a beautiful cliché, he loves it.
